A Business Built on Slime...

The Science Bob Store began as a tiny home-based business  created by science teacher, Bob Pflugfelder. It started as a place for fellow teachers and parents to purchase Bob's popular slime kits that he created and shared with thousands of students when he visited schools in Southern California. The business quickly grew and Bob has since designed several other products, and added hundreds more items from great companies like Insect Lore, Tedco, and Steve Spangler Science. Best of all, Bob continues to test the quality of these products by asking his own students that he teaches every day to put products to some serious real-life testing.

Bob's energy and passion for science caught the eye of some television producers, and he has recently shared his excitement for teaching with national audiences on The History Channel, Jimmy Kimmel Live, and The Dr. Oz Show.  In 2010, he was invited by the Northrop Grummon Foundation to accompany 30 science teachers on a zero gravity flight, but Bob had one request: "I want to release 2,000 ping pong balls in zero gravity." They agreed and the rest was aviation history.
