This is an amazing optical illusion device that is hard to believe at first. Simply place any small object on the inside of the mirascope, and it will appear as if it is sitting on top of the scope. Then when you go to touch it or pick it up, your fingers will go right through the object! It is all just an illusion. The mirascope uses parabolic mirrors to create the hologram-like effect. Use coins, marbles, etc. The mirascope teaches about mirrors, illusions, and visual perception. Includes instructions and and explanation of the effect. Measures 6 inches (13 cm) across. For ages 7 and up.
